RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation | ||
Mission Statement: |
The Process of Initiation by which one receives Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. An immersion into the life of Christianity through the Roman Catholic tradition. Christians are made, not born. Through liturgy, catechesis, prayer and spiritual exercises, inquirers are gently introduced to the Catholic way of life and are prepared for a life-long journey of Christian formation.. |

Stewardship Needs: |
Desire to share your Love of God and the Church. A willingness to walk the faith journey with those new to the experience of Christ or those who wish to return to the fullness of Faith who are moving from one faith tradition to the Roman Catholic faith. |

| Additional Information: | Basic and most important qualities for sponsors: 1: Do you love God? 2. Do you love your neighbor? 3. Are you willing to share this love with someone else? Volunteers are needed as sponsors and hospitality ministers as well as prayer supporters. |

Rainbows |

| Mission Statement: | Rainbows is a proven program, led by trained parishioners, that provides peer support groups for children who have suffered a loss due to death, divorce, or any other painful transition in their family. |
|
| Scheduled Meetings: | 14 week sessions during the school year. Dates and times to be announced. See the Sunday bulletins for the start of the next Rainbows session. |
|
| Stewardship Needs | Volunteers must have a love of children and experience working with them, the ability to facilitate small groups, and the willingness to go through training by the regional Rainbows office in Atlanta. |

Regnum Christi (Women’s) |

| Mission Statement: | Regnum is a movement within the church which seeks to build the church and the Kingdom of Christ in the heart of mankind through works of apostolate and evangelization. |

Respect Life Committee |

| Mission Statement: | The mission of the Respect Life Ministry is to promote an awareness of the sanctity of life at all of its stages and to incorporate the Gospel of Life into our parish community. We accomplish this by praying for life, educating our parish family on Pro-life issues, including legislative issues, and supporting women in crisis pregnancies. |

| Scheduled Meetings: | Meetings are in the Education Building the 2nd Tuesday of each month after 7 PM Mass. |

| Stewardship Needs: | A desire to learn, live and promote “The Gospel of Life.” |

Rosary |

St. Vincent de Paul Society |

| Mission Statement: | To assist parishioners and other members of the community who are struggling financially and sometimes spiritually. Help comes in the form of direct financial help, Food Pantry, automobile donations. |

| Scheduled Meetings: | First Thursday of every month at 7:45 PM, Room 1, Loreto Hall. |
|
| Stewardship Needs: | Just a willingness to make house calls to assist those in need with an open mind and non-judgmental manner. Time to volunteer in the Food Pantry. |

Sacristan Ministry |
||
| Mission Statement: | Prepare and maintain the vessels and linens used for liturgical celebrations. They set out the bread and wine for Mass, prepare the altar linens, and ensure the lectionary is set properly and that the credence table is properly prepared. They themselves are rarely seen, but their efforts are very important to the proper function and flow of the Mass. |

| Scheduled Meetings: | Apart from initial training, there are no formal meetings. The sacristan’s presence is quite important for each Mass, weekdays, weekends and special occasions. |
|
| Stewardship Needs: | Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and needs to be conscientious and attentive to details. |

Stephen Ministry |

| Mission Statement: | Stephen Ministry is a caring ministry by trained parishioners who can offer a listening ear to help others through the tough times of life. Stephen Ministers are trained and supervised in their ministry. They help our priests by ensuring that quality follow-up care is available for as long as it is needed. |

| Scheduled Meetings: | First and third Thursdays of each month, 7:30-10 PM in rooms 101-103, and Room 1 in Loreto Hall. | |
| Stewardship Needs:: | Willingness to listen. Desire to learn how to help others. |

Supper Club |

| Mission Statement: | Meet other parishioners. | |
| Scheduled Meetings: | Monthly, not a regularly scheduled meeting, just a social event. |

| Stewardship Needs: | An interest to meet other parishioners. | |
| Additional Information | Simply a social opportunity for each couple to meet other couples in the church. Five couple groups take turns hosting dinner at each couple’s home. Each 5 couple group meets once per month. Each couple contributes a part of the meal. There is socializing before and after the meal. It is a great way to get to know a good number of fellow parishioners. | |
