  Edge Music Ministry
 

Mission Statement:

Provide music for the EDGE Middle School program (i.e. Mass once a month, retreats, etc.)

 

Scheduled Meetings:

Thursday evenings at 8 PM.

 

Stewardship Needs:

High School volunteers (same as LIFETEEN)

ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages)

  Mission Statement: 
Our purpose is to offer an informative English program at convenient times in a comfortable environment with a variety of levels and beneficial materials.
  Scheduled Meetings:
Individual Classes on Mondays 7 – 9 PM, Tuesdays 9:30 – 11:30 AM and 12:30 – 2:30 PM, and Wednesdays 7 – 9 PM.  The meetings are held in the old rectory (primarily in the Old Chapel). Summer break - mid July thru mid August.
  Stewardship Needs
A good heart and dedication. New teachers will be trained through the Fayette County Schools, coordinator of the program.

  Environment  
  Mission Statement:
Decorating the church and Narthex for the Christmas and Easter seasons.
  Scheduled Meetings :
Will meet at the beginning of the Christmas and Easter seasons for input on how the church and Narthex can be decorated.  Spend time decorating the church as needed, 2 or 3 times per season.

Eucharistic Adoration

  Scheduled Meetings:
Adoration is every Friday following 12 Noon Mass until 9 AM Mass on Saturday
  Stewardship Needs:
Strong desire to adore Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament for at least one hour a week.  The Blessed Sacrament is never left alone.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

  Mission Statement:
Assist our priests and deacons at Holy Trinity in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at all Masses.
  Scheduled Meetings:
Four hours initial formal training.  Occasional refresher training as deemed necessary by the pastor.
  Stewardship Needs:
Strong desire to serve the Lord.  Strong desire to be intimately involved in the Eucharist and Liturgy.  Sixteen years of age, confirmed and in good standing with the Catholic Church, registered member of Holy Trinity.

Familia (Women’s)

  Mission Statement: 
Familia is a four year course designed to help mothers build an awareness of faith in their families, cultivate a responsibility to develop themselves integrally as mothers, wives and women, and to develop a closer relationship with Christ through the Gospels by motivating an intelligent, balanced and responsible building of the family society.
  Scheduled Meetings:
Weekday mornings at Holy Trinity.
  Stewardship Needs
A desire to improve their family life

Books are $45 per year.

Familia (Men’s)

 
  Mission Statement: 
The study of various Church documents designed to help men become better fathers and husbands while becoming familiar with Church teaching and doctrine.
  Scheduled Meetings:
Decided by the men in each group.  Familia is a four-year study.  The year runs the same as the school year and meetings are biweekly.

First Friday Seniors Luncheon

  Mission Statement: 

To provide a potluck, hearty meal after the First Friday Mass once a month and allow the Senior citizens of our parish a chance to socialize in the hall.

  Scheduled Meetings:
Meets every First Friday of the month in the parish hall and kitchen.
  Stewardship Needs:
Provide a dish every month or every other month. Possibly help set-up, serve or clean-up for the luncheon.

Gift Shop

 
  Mission Statement:
The purpose is to offer our parish a place to buy religious gifts.
  Stewardship Needs:
Willingness to give 2 hours of your time on Wednesday or Sunday.
  Additional Information:
Gift Shop hours are 8:15 AM to 1:45 PM  on Sunday and 4 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday.

  Mission Statement: 
To greet new and old members of the parish and distribute missals at entry.

GriefShare - What is GriefShare?

  Mission Statement:
To have a continuing Grief Support Group utilizing a program entitled GriefShare here at Holy Trinity.  This is a Christian based program developed by Church Initiative. The GriefShare program is designed as a weekly seminar/support group that combines teaching, videos, and small group discussions.  The series lasts for 13 weeks.   Scheduled Meetings: We have sessions usually January – April and September – December.  The series lasts for 13 weeks.  Please call for the next session dates.
  Stewardship Needs:
A GriefShare Facilitator needs to be a caring, compassionate, been through grief themselves, willingness to give of self, confidentiality, and open to listening.
